Title: Change
of plans: A new direction.
Since my last entry much has
transpired; so much so that there has been a revolution – an ongoing series of kaikaku – taking place in the
development of the Ryu. The changes are so vast, so accelerated, and so
ongoing, that I fear that if I continue to wait for them to actually settle
down before I contribute to this journal that it will never come to fruition:
the window of respite I have waited for during the past several months has only
been pushed further and further away. I must therefore report events “on the
fly” as they transpire.
One
of the most momentous events has been the development, or the foundation for
the development, of a brand new science: Biopsychocultural Theory (BPCT). BPCT
is a new paradigm for the study of the human condition, one which integrates
ALL aspects of human learning into an overarching paradigm whose goal is the
analysis and re-engineering of human cultures. BPCT divides all pertinent
fields of study into three broad categories: 1) Human Sciences, which includes
the mind/brain sciences (i.e., the neurosciences as well as all branches of
psychology), the social sciences in general (i.e., sociology, anthropology,
economics), the liberal arts (i.e., philosophy, history, mythology, religious
studies, etc.), as well as other miscellaneous disciplines, such as strategic
analysis (i.e., game theory, strategic games, etc.); 2) Universal (or Natural)
Sciences, which include physics, chemistry, biology, evolutionary studies,
etc.; 3) Mathematics (including statistics and probability) and Computation. I
have recently re-engineered all of the programs at the Institute – which I
renamed the “MAMBA Ryu Institute for
Biopsychocultural Studies”. Tomorrow I have a private class to teach in the
AM. I will try to add short communiques every night as I do not have the time or
the energy for longer reports.
